Clearwire, founded in October 2003 by telecom pioneer Craig O. McCaw, is a provider of simple, fast, portable and reliable wireless high-speed Internet service. Clearwire customers connect to the Internet using licensed spectrum, thus eliminating the confines of traditional cable or phone lines.

On May 7, 2008, Clearwire Corporation and Sprint Nextel Corporation entered into a definitive agreement to combine their next-generation wireless broadband businesses to form a new wireless communications company to expedite the deployment of the first nationwide mobile WiMAX network.
In conjunction with this agreement Intel Corporation (through Intel Capital); Google Inc.; Comcast Corporation; Time Warner Cable Inc; and Bright House Networks have collectively agreed to invest $3.2 billion into the new company.
Financial Analyst – Wholesale Billing Operations
Clearwire is currently seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. The Financial Analyst will be a part of the wholesale billing team that will be responsible for calculating, processing, and reporting the revenue generated from Clearwire’s Wholesale business. This role will have significant interaction with the IT department during the development and implementation cycles of automation projects. Qualified candidates will have a proven background in revenue and billing operations within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly revenue calculations and generate billing reports for Clearwire’s Wholesale partners (Sprint, Comcast, Time Warner).
• Participate in requirements gathering for updates and modifications to our systems.
• Work with Clearwire’s Wholesale partners to ensure that monthly revenue invoices can be processed timely and accurately.
• Provide customer service to Clearwire’s Wholesale partners concerning monthly invoices and wholesale revenue payments details.
• Assist in researching and resolving any wholesale revenue calculations disputes.
• Perform ongoing activities which focus on building process automation.
• Maintain controls around the revenue calculation and billing process.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Three plus years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Revenue Accountant, or a related title, preferably within a wireless/telecom industry.
• Proven background utilizing systems to calculate revenue and generate billing information.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to research and gather the need information to make timely and accurate revenue calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities and projects while providing strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis and revenue accounting techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and experience with Oracle, Cognos is a plus.
